THE CHAPEL UPDATES FOR NOVEMBER 8/9TH

LOVE AND LOGIC

Parenting is tough! There isn’t an owners manual - each child is different. Every family has unique circumstances. There is no way to see what is coming next.

Even though we don’t have a template, we can have tools in our belt to pull from. Love and Logic is a scientifically based parenting philosophy that uses empathy and logical consequences to hand kids back what life is throwing at them so they can problem solve under the umbrella of their parents/guardians guidance. It creates a safe place allowing mistakes to become a way to grow. It helps families diffuse arguments to keep everyone on the same team with the common goal of autonomy.

On Friday, November 14th at 6:00 pm at our Sandusky campus, Jen Rawson will be leading a Love and Logic parenting course. It will be full of practical tools you can even use on Friday night when you get home to tuck in your kids! Parents/Guardians with babies, teens are welcome to join.  Please register by texting LOGIC to 419.504.1777. Childcare is available!

“Country Roads..... take me home....

Attention Chapel family!  We are heading back to West Virginia this Christmas season on Dec. 12-14, for an amazing Appalachia mission experience!  We are traveling to Webster Springs, West Virginia, one of the poorest counties in all of America.  We’ll be delivering Christmas presents for 250 children, food boxes for shut ins, hygiene products, clothing, and most definitely the Gospel!  This mission experience is open for all Chapel attenders ages 6 and up, so bring your whole family!  Just text WV to 419-504-1777 to register.  Our first team meeting will be Sunday, November 9, at 6 p.m., at the Sandusky campus.  Thanks so much!

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS

The holiday season is almost here! With it comes a special focus on the Lord, family, traditions, and social events—all of which can cause difficult emotions to surface.  And whether it’s your first or tenth holiday after your loved one’s death, the emotions can blindside you.  Surviving the Holidays is here to help guide you and direct you in a healthy way through this difficult holiday season. You will have meaningful sharing times with people going through similar things, and you will learn tools to help you face the holidays with a measure of peace and assurance.  To register for this group, just text HOLIDAYS to 419-504-1777. Cost is $ 7 for the book.

GIVING TRANSITION

Hi Chapel family! We want to take a moment to thank you for your continued generosity and faithfulness in supporting the ministry of The Chapel.

As a reminder, on November 21st, we will no longer be utilizing Pushpay for giving transactions. If you currently have a recurring donation set up through Pushpay, we kindly ask that you transition your giving to Church Center before that date.

You can do so easily by downloading the Church Center app or visiting our website and choosing Give.  If you need assistance in making the switch please contact the church office and request a member of our finance team.

Thank you again for your generosity and partnership in all that God is doing through The Chapel.  Your giving not only support the ongoing operations of The Chapel but helps make an impact in the lives of others in our communities and around the world.
