Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear to a church service?

Most people who attend The Chapel wear comfortable, simple clothing. You will often see our staff wearing jeans and button-ups. That said, we encourage you to wear what is authentic to you.

Will I be asked to give money?

We believe your giving is between you and the Lord. With this in mind, we do not "pass the plate" or do a formal offering time during services. Instead, we have discreet "Giving Boxes" located in the vestibules as you enter/exit the Worship Center. We also have the option to securely give online.

How is The Chapel and its ministries supported?

We are a non-denominational church, which means we do not receive any funding outside of the support of our congregation. We are so grateful for the way God has blessed our church through the ongoing generosity of His people.

How often do you partake of Communion?

We partake of Communion once per month, typically the first Sunday of each month. The pastor will direct you to partake of those elements within the service time. We also have Gluten Free communion elements available for those who are gluten sensitive.

Do my kids sit with me in service?

Chapel Kids (for children aged newborn to 5th grade) and Chapel Middle School (for 6th-8th grade students) are intentional spaces for your children to receive care and instruction founded in God's Word. We believe these environments are to the benefit of your children, as they offer teaching and experiences that are thoughtfully designed to be applicable to their age and interests. We encourage you and your family to give these ministries a try.

That said, we know you may feel most comfortable keeping your children with you in the main Worship Center. They are welcome and we are glad to see them worshiping alongside you. Our only request is that, if your child becomes noisy during an intentionally quiet moment, please do your best to calm them. We understand it is difficult to teach children about moments of silence. With this in mind, we have created multiple spaces outside of our Worship Center that may be more conducive to a noisy child (such as our coffee shop seating area or the Chapel Kids seating
nook.)

How does Chapel Kids ensure my child is safe and secure?

Chapel Kids offers age-appropriate classrooms, safe and secure rooms, and qualified leaders. Chapel Kids and Security volunteers undergo a background check prior to serving within the ministry.

Our registration process ensures that your child will not be released to any unauthorized person.

Any snacks that are to be served in Chapel Kids are posted outside the classroom for the sake of food sensitives and allergies.

We will utilize the phone number you provide at check-in if we need to contact you in the midst of the service.
